Whichkind Brand Of Paper Towel Is The Strongest

over the education system

advertises Policy in Ghana "free" education. The claims and Germany, yet everyone knows that's not true, so completely.

There are in Ghana, especially in the Central Region, countless schools. Almost every little village has its own. Studies in Germany will be closed due to low number of students here rebuilt. Thus, this
The state donated free books and paid the teachers. But why is this school will not completely free?

Let's start with the training of teachers. In Germany you have to Teacher are to go to university. Such teachers are forging methods are also available in Ghana, but is due to strong faculty shortage is also faster alternatives to enter the teaching profession. The quickest way is for the Senior High School (between secondary school education and (technical) high school) over a two-week seminar. After such a crash course with no teacher training, the "teachers" let loose on students. These people lack it often not only competence, but also of motivation, because the salary for such a "qualified" teachers is very low. In addition, he knows no other way to give authority to, as with the baton.

Ghana is on track, the training is getting better and you see that in the schools. The baton is by far not used as often as before. Good.

It was about that education is not free. Since the content itself of the trained teachers is not considerable, they collect money and items here and there one of the pupils / students. Students must pay for the afternoon hours, sponges, baskets bring, broom in the school. This is in effect all the money. And also (and this is no joke) of the students that the student is missing at home as a worker. So it can happen, on market days that empty classrooms are as usual

This is particularly in the small village schools in the case. Since I teach in four schools (two rural schools and two schools in the district capital Ajumako) I can state that between the village and the city schools are huge differences. The children in Ajumako are simply smarter and speak better English.

Why is that? One reason may be the teachers who seem to be better in Ajumako. Another reason I find more important: the people (especially parents) to Ajumako put more emphasis on education and sending their children to the market, but in the school. Education is taken seriously in the family, one is interested sich für die Schule des Kindes und weiß genau: Education is the key.
